St. Teresa’s Hospital

St Teresa’s Hospital was founded in 1940 to provide competent, high-quality health care to the sick and needy of Hong Kong through the Christian Spirit of Faith, Hope and Love.

By 2009 the hospital’s VIP Wards were in dire need of a fresher look.

The client brief called for complete refurbishment of 19 VIP Rooms, a Deluxe Suite and a Premier Suite, the latter two of which feature attached guest rooms for visiting family members.

Each suite and guest room also has its own bathroom and five of the VIP Rooms can accommodate two patients, each of which is provided with his/her own bed-head trunking.

Major materials are, of course, hospital-specific: predominantly vinyl floor and wall coverings; sheet and solid core laminate for cabinetry in patient and clinical areas; and stone, glass, stainless steel and timber in the public spaces.
