David Richards and Peter Basmajian, two architects brought together by their passion for great design and hard work – and for Hong Kong.
This was way back in 1986 – and since then the partnership has grown to include Bernice Leung and David Wong, Jack Lee and Donald Tam.
We are Interior Architects who do a broad range of work because it keeps things interesting. We welcome new challenges and treat each project individually. This applies as much to our growing portfolio of existing clients as to our new ones. Does it work? Absolutely: 90% of our business comes from repeat appointments. Our office is near the core of our client base – and keeping the entire studio under one roof gives us better control over how we design and manage our work.
We have, of course, also completed projects in the PRC, Singapore and throughout most of the Asia-Pacific region. We offer the full range of planning, design and project management services, working equally well with professional clients for whom fitting-out of new premises is a core activity, as with those for whom the management of a project is outside their general expertise. In the former situation our brief is usually defined by the Client; in the latter, we will advise on the most appropriate scope of work, and services, for that particular project.
A number of very talented people work here, nearly 60 at the last count, 50 of whom are designers or technicians. We have kept the office this size because we know it works – and ensures that our design teams are always thinking creatively and acting in our clients’ best interests.
What else is there to say? Pictures tell a thousand words so let them do the talking. If you have a comment about our work or this website – good, bad or ugly – we’d appreciate hearing from you, so feel free to drop any one of us a line.
