Kirkland & Ellis – Beijing

On the highest office floor of the mixed-use China World Tower IIIA in Beijing, Kirkland & Ellis now occupy new 16,000 square foot premises.

Design and construction of the project was vastly completed by late 2022 while both Hong Kong and the Chinese capital were still being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, making in-person meetings and design presentations less frequent than normal. Working closely with our Beijing construction team, however, the new office was completed to a very high standard, even allowing for the occasional city-wide lockdowns and other interruptions in Beijing.

The space is organised around a Front-of-House where there are three conference / meeting rooms immediately adjacent to the reception area, as well as a servery and prep-kitchen for client events. Single-occupancy attorneys’ offices populate most of the remaining perimeter of the building, with a large area for paralegals and ancillary facilities arranged against the core walls. These include secretaries, finance and marketing professionals, a large server room and a spacious Cafe for the attorneys and staff. Three phone booths – rooms, in fact – for staff to make confidential calls are distributed throughout the floor and a client / visitor phone room occupies a quiet corner of the reception space adjacent to the large conference room.

Handover and move-in was achieved in late February 2023.
