Breguet Watches
Founded in the 18th Century, Breguet are a manufacturer of fine watches and developer of the first self winding systems or ‘perpetuelles’. The company boasts Marie-Antoinette, Napoleon, Queen Victoria and Winston Churchill among their many clients.
Breguet’s first retail store in Hong Kong is located in the Heritage 1881 development centered around Hullet House, formerly the Marine Police Headquarters and now a boutique hotel. Although Breguet had a presence in Hong Kong prior to this, it was limited to ‘shop-in-shop’ outlets.
The design of the Store was carried out by Breguet’s Swiss architects, Atelier Oi. Tendering, contract administration and site supervision was carried out by Richards Basmajian in Hong Kong.
The completed store occupies two floors with a street presence on Canton Road. While many of the finishes were sourced locally, key decorative elements, including the blue laminated glass panels and lighting, were imported from Europe.
