Weil, Gotshal & Manges

With wonderful views across Victoria Harbour, this two-floor office for Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Alexandra House is largely finished in a neutral timber veneer, off-white stone and purple-grey broadloom carpeting, with accents of colour in the furniture and artwork.

A striking feature at the front-of-house is a full height stone wall finished in Rain Forest marble. Barrisol ceilings in the boardroom and meeting rooms are another noteworthy aspect of the design as they provide even light that is perfect for meetings that may last long into the night.

The firm decided to enhance the building’s original, steel window mullions by re-cladding them in anodised aluminium. Lift lobbies at both floors were carefully renovated to match the tenant space and a new metal ceiling system with indirect lighting was installed to replace the existing mineral fibre tiles and luminaires in the work spaces.

The result is that Weil Gotshal now occupy a highly efficient, 24,000 SF premises in a building that seems – on the inside – to be more contemporary than would appear from the exterior.
