Seaspan

In conjunction with their expanding operations in the Asia Pacific region, Vancouver-based Seaspan Corporation have recently opened new premises on a high floor of AIA Tower in North Point.

The company’s important role as owners and managers of numerous container ships is evident even before entering the reception, where a standard 20 TEU container magically ‘relocated’ to the 35th floor, greets visitors and staff alike.

The container houses the firm’s café, and links the front-of-house conference rooms to the working areas and large IT department. A substantially open-plan working area features a photomontage of three ships on an oversized compactus – lending a bit of colour to this otherwise utilitarian space.
