Deacons

Deacons' front-of-house had last been renovated in 2005, but problems with insufficient lighting and a lack of acoustic attenuation between meeting rooms had become increasingly problematic over the ensuing years and the entire area was in need of a complete redesign.

The reception area was enlarged and made more dynamic with a bold, curvilinear counter, while the Meeting Rooms and connecting corridor were provided with new LED lighting and fabric wrapped panels that not only soften the look of the space but also provide sound absorption for increased privacy.

The ‘legacy’ rooms – the Board Room, Dining Room and adjacent Ante Room – were refinished with silk wall coverings, and LED lighting was installed here as well. These rooms otherwise retain their very distinctive look, which is somewhat different from the adjacent refurbished areas.
