MICROS-Fidelio

If you spend time hanging around in up-market cocktail bars, on a quiet night your eye may be drawn to the micros logo on a device near the counter. MICROS-Fidelio provides point of sales software and hardware systems for bars, restaurants, hotels and retail outlets.

Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, the office illustrated here is located in The Center in Queen’s Road, Hong Kong. As well as sales and marketing, the office is used as a service centre for technical support and a base for engineers working in the field.

We have picked and developed a number of themes in design of the office. The electric blue is the primary corporate colour and this is used on key walls as well as the main logo. A metallic mesh laminate wraps the curved wall in the reception and the carpet tiles suggest digital pixelated images. In contrast, a number of wall and furniture elements in timber add a touch of warmth. As a primary display, the company server sits as if in a goldfish bowl in full view within the reception area. What you see is what you get.
