McDonald's Restaurants

Contrary to what the title might suggest, this project is for the eponymous restaurateur to house its 30,000 square foot regional headquarters in Hong Kong. The space occupies a little more than two floors of Dorset House in Quarry Bay.

The design makes liberal use of the colours and imagery we are all so familiar with from McDonald's outlets around the world.

These are incorporated in materials, objects and even logos projected on the floor of the reception, as well as in translucent glass light baffles above the boardroom table.

It also incorporates state-of-the-art technology for audio visual display systems throughout.

Open office areas are separated from circulation space with floor to ceiling sheets of tinted glass while a wire frame sculpture of Ronald McDonald himself greets all visitors who enter the premises.
